Back to school survival guide- Friendships

Hey everyone it's Purpleskull95 here (trial blogger)
Since it's back to school time I thought I'd write a back to school survival guide regarding friendships (:
Here are some tips on how to make friends, I hope these help you in some way (:

  1. Plan a sleepover party and invite anyone who you want to get to know better! This is a great chance to make friends and find out more about eachother
  2. Join clubs/after school activities so you can meet people with the same interests and hobbies as you
  3. Be nice. This applies for everywhere (not just at school) no one wants to be friends with a bully so treat others how you would want to be treated (:
  4. Be careful on who you choose to be friends with. Since you spend a lot of time with your friends, it's likely that the way they act or the things they say will rub off on you. You would want to surround yourself with supportive people who make you feel happy and who don't pressure you in to doing things that you feel uncomfortable in doing. It's better to be alone then to be with "friends" who are always putting you down or making you feel bad about yourself.
  5. Be yourself- this is the most important rule. You don't need to change yourself in order to impress people, always be yourself and if someone doesn't like you for who you are, then they aren't worth your friendship.
How to keep your friends
Now you know how to make friends but how do you keep them? Here are a few tips on how to be a good friend (:

Do:
1. Listen to your friend. Give them a chance to talk about any problems or concerns they may have.
2. Try to cheer them up when they're sad.
3. Be honest with them.
4. Respect her/him at all times.
5. Stick up for them if they are being bullied or picked on.

Don't:
1. Forget their birthdays or other important occasions
2. Talk bad about them behind their back.
3. Break their trust.
4. Constantly bring them down or say mean things to them.
5. Break promises or make promises which you can't keep.

I hope these tips helped you and remember, it's better to have a few real friends then a million fake friends (:
Good luck to all of you going back to school!
-Purry xoxo
